My life has taken some very exciting turns in the last few years.
Getting married in August last year was one of them! I am so blessed with my amazing husband who supports me in everything I do, and always encourages me to go after my dreams. ♥ (Picture by our awesome wedding photographer, Stella Uys Photography)
Another was the big move to Brisbane from South Africa. That was also one of the things that made me realize how important photos really are. When we’re far away from those we love, we miss them! We miss seeing them on a regular basis and having them around. We hold so dear to those awesome memories we made together. Having good quality pictures to hang on our walls and decorate our homes brings more life to it, makes it more like home…
I cherish memories, and regularly look through photos of friends and family. A photo speaks a thousand words – isn’t that so true? So lets put up more of those stories where we can see them every time we pass them, and live with the presence of the happy memories filling our home! I’m making a point of incorporating photos more and more into our house, and it gets more homely with every new picture, it’s amazing!
Speaking of dreams, that’s what this website and blog are all about! My husband and his family along with other awesome interventions have put me on this journey to becoming a great photographer and doing it full time. I am so excited! As I gain more and more knowledge and experience with my photography, this will be where one day I will look back and see how far I’ve come. ☺ I never want to stop learning or taking photos and trying new things!
