Rachel had a clear idea of what she wanted from Dominic’s newborn photos – the froggy pose (where his head rests in his hands), animal bonnets for his woodland themed nursery, and no parent images as they only wanted photos of him.
This little guy pulled off the froggy pose so beautifully with the giraffe bonnet on that it was a standout favourite image from his session! He also looked super cute in the bear and fox bonnets, and even gave us a couple of smiles :) At the end of the session I did an image including his parents’ hands so that they could have something with them in it even though not the typical family photo. It also acte as a beautiful reminder of just how small he was!
Rachel, I so enjoyed photographing your little man. I hope you love these photos and cherish them for years to come. I hope to see you again as he grows up, it would be so nice to see what he looks like then! :)

Newborn photography is so much more than just photos. Newborn photos, when taken professionally, capture the essence of a new baby. Their tiny details, how curly they are, how sweet they sleep, what they might have been like in the womb… Photographing these young babies, often in their first week or ten days of birth, is something truly special to me that I wholeheartedly love and celebrate in my heart.
If you’re reading this and are expecting your own, or someone close to you is, I would LOVE to be considered for your newborn photography. Bookings can be done as early as your 20th week of pregnancy, as we only make the final date once your baby is born. Making a tentative date beforehand ensures you can have peace of mind that the session is scheduled, you won’t forget or get lost in all that’s happening close to the birth, and you can ensure that I am available for your date.
