Russ & Becky Engagement Session | Brisbane Portrait & Wedding Photographer

What an awesome Bribie Island engagement session!

Since Becky first contacted me about photographing her and Russ’ wedding, I have been very excited to work with her. She is thorough, sensible, and from what I can tell very organised. What also excited me was that these two were pretty new to Brisbane too! They have been together for five years and you can easily tell that by how comfortable they are with each other. They moved from England, recently became Australian permanent residents, and now enjoy being engaged and soon being husband and wife! Great inspiration you guys!

When first meeting Russ and Becky I could see the sparkle in their eyes – their excitement and pure love for one another was clear. I explained to them the value of an engagement session and we made sure to select the most suitable wedding photography package.

For their engagement photographs Becky wanted us to do a sunset shoot on Bribie Island where her nan lives, and where she enjoys spending time together with Russ on weekends. We started our day on a secluded beach that provided the perfect opportunity to unwind, with long stretches of sandy beaches, gentle waves and tall grasses. Our second location on the other side of the island was an easy 15 minutes drive, and offered us with a view of the sun setting beyond the waters of the bay. The sunset also provided us with a spectacular array of colours, showing the outlines of the glasshouse mountains where they are getting married soon.

Becky you looked so lovely with your hair and nails especially done! You and Russ make a beautiful picture and I am so happy to have captured these memories. My heart skips a beat when I think of your special day! Enjoy your last 12 weeks of excitement and planning, it will go by so fast!

Lots of love,

Sonja Griffioen
