Celebrating pregnancy / maternity!

Maternity photography is still fairly new, and more and more women are embracing this beautiful time in their journey towards motherhood. It is truly wonderful being able to tell the story of their love for their growing baby through photographing these women in a beautiful, natural way, focusing on the connection they have with their unborn child. I believe it is something that must be captured, appreciated, respected and enjoyed – yes, your body is bigger than normal and you don’t fit into your favourite jeans. Yes, you have stretch marks. But what is so much more worthy of your thoughts is what an amazing journey you have been through so far, and the strong, beautiful woman you are to have accomplished all this!

I hope you look at it a little differently when reading this, and have some beautiful photos taken to document this milestone in your life. Your kids will treasure you and feel the love you have for them when they look at it, and that, no matter how big you were or how many stretch marks you have, will be a beautiful and undeniable declaration of your love for them even before they were born.
